This week I\u2019d like to meditate on a few verses from Psalm 119. It was hard selecting only six verses, because I find this psalm rich in verses to ponder and pray, so we might look at it again soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Most of the verses of Psalm 119 are either prayers or affirmations addressed to God. Most verses refer to God\u2019s word or actions, as well as the writer\u2019s, thus affirming prayer as a relationship with God rather than just asking for what we want. Let\u2019s carefully read and think about each day\u2019s verse, using it as a starting point for personal prayer and reflection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Monday: Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law. (18)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tuesday: I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. (10)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wednesday: My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word. (28)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thursday: Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word. (37)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Friday: I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free. (32)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
