Hope: Hebrews 6:19-20 & 10:19-22
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 6:19-20
Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Hebrews 10:19- 22
Monday: Ponder the hope we have in Christ– that we are welcome in God’s presence, because Christ has led the way for us.
Tuesday: In what way is this hope an anchor for you in the ups and downs of life? Ask God to help you place your hope fully in him, no matter what highs or lows tend to distract you.
Wednesday: Praise Jesus that he gives us a firm and secure hope. Think about how that contrasts with all that the world offers.
Thursday: Meditate with gratitude on what an awesome privilege it is that we are allowed to come into the Most Holy Place, God’s presence, because Jesus has opened the way for us.
Friday: Jesus is now is heaven, presiding as high priest. Praise him!
Saturday: Draw near to God today with the assurance that you can have through your faith in Jesus, knowing that he is in God’s presence as our priest..
